Reporting issues early helps prevent breakdowns, safety risks, and unnecessary costs.

Failure to report issues promptly can result in:

  • Escalated repair costs
  • Vehicle downtime
  • Account penalties
  • Default status under certain agreements

This page explains when and how to report issues correctly.

What Must Be Reported

You must report any issue that affects:

  • Vehicle safety
  • Vehicle operation
  • Warning lights or dashboard alerts
  • Unusual noises, smells, or vibrations
  • Fluid leaks
  • Tire damage or loss of pressure
  • Overheating
  • Brake, steering, or suspension behavior

If you are unsure whether something qualifies, report it anyway.

When to Report

Issues must be reported:

  • Immediately if the vehicle is unsafe to drive
  • Within 24 hours of noticing a non-emergency issue
  • Before continuing use if the issue worsens

Continuing to operate a vehicle with a known issue may shift responsibility for damage.

How to Report an Issue

Issues must be reported using the official KeyAura™ Maintenance Issue Report form.

You may be required to provide:

  • Vehicle information
  • Description of the issue
  • When the issue started
  • Photos or videos
  • Current vehicle status (drivable or not)

Reports submitted outside the official form may not be considered valid.

What Happens After You Report

After submission:

  • Your report is logged and time-stamped
  • KeyAura™ reviews the issue
  • You may receive instructions to pause use
  • Repair authorization may be issued
  • Follow-up documentation may be required

Do not authorize repairs without written approval unless instructed otherwise.

Failure to report maintenance issues promptly may result in responsibility for resulting damage.
All maintenance obligations are governed by the applicable agreement and Connecticut law.
