Vehicle Return Instructions
Follow These Steps to Close Your Account Properly
When a Vehicle Must Be Returned
A KeyAura™ vehicle must be returned when:
- Your rental term ends
- Your agreement is terminated
- You are instructed to return the vehicle
- You exit a program voluntarily
- A conversion or purchase pathway is not completed
Failure to return a vehicle as instructed may result in default and recovery actions.

Prepare the Vehicle for Return
Before returning the vehicle, you must:
- Remove all personal belongings
- Ensure the vehicle is reasonably clean inside and out
- Refuel to the agreed return level (if applicable)
- Secure all keys, fobs, and accessories
- Confirm no unresolved maintenance issues exist
KeyAura™ is not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
Return Appointment & Location
Vehicle returns are completed:
- By scheduled appointment, when possible
- At the designated KeyAura™ return location
- During approved return hours
Unscheduled or abandoned returns may delay account closure and documentation.

Return Condition Documentation
At return, the vehicle will be:
- Photographed and documented
- Compared against intake records
- Evaluated for damage, wear, or misuse
- Logged with time-stamped condition data
You may be asked to participate in the return condition review.
After the Vehicle Is Returned
After return:
- Your account enters review status
- Any damage or excess wear is assessed
- Outstanding balances are calculated
- Final documentation is completed
You will be notified if additional action or payment is required.

Vehicle return does not automatically close your account.
All returns are subject to final review under the applicable agreement and Connecticut law.
